Thanks for traveling the trail! We can't wait to see you next year!
Joe and Ada of Shearwood Quilts and Fabrics got their start designing custom quilts for their customers, but try as they might, they could never find enough basics to fill in those hard to match areas. They knew what they wanted but couldn't source it locally, so in 2011 they decided to start their own collection of fabric. Now Shearwood Quilts and Fabrics offers a wide selection of fabrics and quilting services to meet your quilting needs.
Joe of Shearwood Quilts and Fabrics spent many hours (and had lots of fun) helping his grandmother pick colors and design quilts. Quilting made an impression on young Joe and he turned those years of experience into his vocation. Shearwood Quilts and Fabrics has been in business since 2009.
"If you are making a Quilt that involves a lot of piecing, use the same sewing machine for the whole project, watch your 1/4" seams, and spray Best Press and iron fabric before you cut it, and again before you press the seams."
GPS to Shearwood doesn't always work out as planned. You'll be better off navigating via Google Maps to 1091 Hwy U - it'll take you right there.
From Jamesport take Hwy F east 3 1/2 miles, then turn right on Hwy U - watch for the Shearwood Quilts and Fabrics sign. Drive south on Hwy U for 1 mile, you'll know you're close when the road curves to the east. You'll see another Shearwood sign; turn left (north) and you've arrived at Shearwood Quilts and Fabrics. There's a gravel parking lot and plenty of parking. Shearwood Quilts and Fabrics is wheelchair accessible.
